Rudi Guiliani – You don’t have me to kick around anymore

without comments

Guilani bows out of the Presidential RaceWell Rudi Guilani is dropping out of the race for President of the United States and it couldn’t have come any later.  He was done when he made his strategy of starting his campaign in Florida.  What was he thinking?  Dude, you can’t cherry pick your way the highest office in the land.  You have to get out there and gain the confidence of the people that are going to vote for you.  It’s arrogant to think that you can start your campaign so late in the game and pick up steam to win your party’s nomination.  I watched and watched to see how it all was going to end and it will finally end today.  John McCain and Mitt Romney flew into Florida on the wave of South Carolina….they had been in the news, they have been getting battled tested week to week with Mike Huckabee also getting his portion also.  Where was Rudy?  Hanging low even in Florida.  Hey Rudister, you won’t be missed sir.  We need real candidates that want to show us why we should vote for them and why we should trust them.  I have to say that you had a chance…slim but you had a chance.  I mean think about it…..1/3 of the voters in Florida had a negative opinion of Bush according to CNN polling and you couldn’t even use that being that McCain is a Bush follower.  They voted for McCain because he had about 46% of voters that believed that he was most electable of the Republican party and you missed the boat man…you missed the boat.  It’s a shame but I wish your family well.  Thanks for your time and God Bless!

Edwards drops out of the Democratic Race to be President

without comments

John Edwards drops from the Race The Obama spinners will try to tell you that he benefits from this but this was their worst nightmare. Because now the press which sought to divide the party among racial lines and when I say that, listen to their tone from now until the end of the convention…..White voters for whites, black voters for blacks. Believe me, with Edwards out of race, it’s easy pickings for Hillary. JUSTIFICATION: Besides Iowa, Obama has not been winning the “white and latino” votes. Hillary didn’t do well in South Carolina nor Florida with the “black vote” but she didn’t really need to in Florida because of the Latinos. I guess I am looking at it like the media would but how can you not. The white males (unless Bloomberg) gets in, will split to Obama and Clinton. Black Men and Women will go to Obama in a 60/40 way with the 40 going to Clinton in the national polls but Hillary will get at least 65% of the white vote the includes “white women” and will take about 55% of the Latino vote if not more which will put her over the top.

It’s so clear that Hillary will win the nomination now that Edwards is out. You want to bring up Kennedys…ok kewl.

Obama has 3 (Teddy, Ted jr and Caroline). But Hillary has 3 (Kathleen, Robert Jr, and another sister). So that’s trumped. Obama has polarized loser John Kerry, while Hillary has Kerosene Maxine Waters. Obama has the Unions in Nevada but Hillary won the union workers majority vote.

You Obama supporters can tout that Obama leads in delegates from the states but Hillary has won more states (including Michigan and Florida but over 50% in votes) It’s so funny that you guys think that she is so evil but she keeps winning. Have you seen her lead in California and New York. All she needs is Texas too and that’s easy…Texans don’t like blacks…they kept them in slavery long after the Emancipation Proclaimation. BTW…I am a black man so I am not racist…I am just dealing in reality. This helps Clinton no matter how much the Obama supports spin it.

I try to be as real as I can with this blog and I hope that I don’t sound hateful when I speak on these things.  Reality is reality.  Edwards would make a great running mate for Hillary but I don’t think that Obama will use him as a running mate because I think that is left for an establishment type of candidate or a surprise like Bloomberg from New York.  Edwards and Clinton believe in fixing the ecomony and also their Health Care plans are close to being the same.  Obama’s health care plan leaves out over 15 milllion people and the causes that Edwards takes up, that would be too much to leave behind in my opinion.

Obama turns back on Clinton at State of the Union

without comments

Obama turns back on ClintonWell, well, well, what is up with this? A picture is worth a 1,000 words and even with Hillary Clinton reaching across the aisle to shake the hand of the amnesty leader Ted Kennedy, Senator Obama turned away. Why was that? He is at the top of his game right now. He has the strong endorsements coming in, he’s in charge and moving along at a rapid pace. The rest of the candidates (Clinton and Edwards) really don’t have a chance with the Kennedy’s endorsements cementing him as the candidate of choice. There is no way that Obama would lose the nomination now since Teddy joined his staff. Even with the slum landlord friend that was indicted today having no effect (that we know of), Obama should be the confident one. The one that looks in the face of skepticism with a face of confidence and appeal. But he turned his back on Clinton like a spoiled child. I am not here to judge the candidates and how they react. I am just here to speak about different things. It seems to me that even with the endorsement of Kennedy, Obama is still in a little fear it might not be enough. Think about it, the delegates stand at Clinton leading right now (if you count the super delegates) and they haven’t even gone to the National Primary yet which is set to happen on February 5. Kennedy says that he can help Obama with the Latino vote to shore that up and close ranks to help put Obama over the top. But this “child-like” act doesn’t speak well on Obama nor does it look good. The press probably won’t speak about it which they wouldn’t like to put Obama in bad light. Here is the bottom line. The press can’t attack Obama in fear that there would be a serious backlash due to his race. “The press/media is going hard after him because he’s black”. That is a lot different with Hillary Clinton because there were already haters out there because of her husband.

It sickens me that that the press can’t be even-handed in the coverage this year but to each it’s own. I say this to Obama, you won South Carolina by a 2-1 margin. You are picking up many endorsements from astute colleagues and the least you can do is act like an adult instead of turning around your back. That’s so petty.

Barak Obama wins South Carolina, Edwards looking for answers

without comments

Obama wins South Carolina easilySenator Barack Obama won the South Carolina primary by a 2-1 vote picking up many black supporters (80% last time it was reported) which is phenomonal in today’s time. What that speaks to is that he appeals to the black voters of South Carolina and whether or not that is an albatross around his neck remains to be seen. My take on that is that this could become very bad for him if the rest of the country wants to teach the “blacks” a lesson and make the whites and latinos vote for Clinton or even possibly Edwards. Obama delivered a resounding Martin-Luther King type victory speech speaking of change and getting rid of the status quo and starting afresh/anew. His supporters are galvanized and ready to go for him at almost the drop of a hat. You can clearly see that the “young” democrats and independents are so enamored with enthusiasm that it is driving their campaigns to new heights. When the next debate comes along, it will be fun to see how he reacts to specific questions in regards to his stances on the issues which is still a question mark on his candidacy.

Edwards campaign seems on the brink of destructionJohn Edwards is in a precarious position because in my opinion there is no way that he can win the presidential nomination with the little support that he has been getting in the last few primaries/caucuses. There are reports that John Edwards might join Obama in his cabinet as Attorney General if he moves his support over. I remember John Edwards when he was the vice presidential nominee with Kerry and he wanted to hold that office really bad. Remember when Kerry/Edwards wouldn’t quit that presidential night. Edwards came out with a smile on his face and said that they were prepared to fight to find out about the election and whether or not some votes were suppressed. Guess that didn’t turn out for either. Edwards wants to be in the White House and acting as Attorney General in my humble opinion isn’t high enough for him. Honestly, if Obama wasn’t in the race, Edwards would be leading because he is a white male and the establishment would anoint him to take over after Bush due to Hillary’s polarization that she brings with her.

Hey Bill, learn from your mistakes and use the press Bill Clinton needs to recognize that the media has no good things to say about him and misrepresents whatever he says. I know he is smarter than that and should turn it around but the 24-hour news services which have nothing to really say but repeat themselves each hour only speak to the notion that they also have an agenda. Don’t get it wrong people, the media still sets the tone for how we think. That is why they have kept the race thing going. It was reported that Bill Clinton was providing false hope about Obama with calling his campaign a “fairy tale” Here is the transcript that Bill Clinton said and the media reported it incorrectly making it look like Clinton was downgrading Obama’s candidacy.

“Second, it is wrong that Senator Obama got to go through 15 debates trumpeting his superior judgment and how he had been against the war in every year, numerating the years, and never got asked one time, not once, ‘Well, how could you say, that when you said in 2004 you didn’t know how you would have voted on the resolution? You said in 2004 there was no difference between you and George Bush on the war and you took that speech you’re now running on off your website in 2004 and there’s no difference in your voting record and Hillary’s ever since?’ Give me a break.

“This whole thing is the biggest fairy tale I’ve ever seen…So you can talk about Mark Penn all you want. What did you think about the Obama thing calling Hillary the Senator from Punjab? Did you like that?”

All I want is that people check out the real issues and the real text behind the candidates and their spouses. The media is only about one thing….stories and creating stories. Chris Matthews, Joe Scarborough all have taken their position and demonized Clinton once again. I sincerely hope that Clinton gets a good lesson and starts to play the press the correct way.

Where is the consistency Mr Obama??

without comments

For all you Obama lovers, check out the last two minutes of this clip. We need someone that will tell the entire truth in the Whitehouse…not conviently tell the truth. If you are for the single payer system…say that you were for it……..good lord man….how do you want us to trust you if you can can’t tell the truth on just a small question

Back in 2003

What Barack Obama said: I never said that we should try to go ahead and get single payer…..

What he actually said: I happen to be a proponent of single payer universal health care program..

Where is the consistency???????

Senator Barak Obama fights for creditability but ends up with more questions about his record…

without comments

To be fair in my opinion on Barack Obama, view this video and tell me if you still agree that he is still tough enough to answer the hard questions. My entire problem with him is that I honestly don’t feel that he is ready for the office. If you watch long enough, you will see former Senator John Edwards asking Senator Obama about his non votes and him calling out Obama about being able to touch their votes. What I see is that when you are a Senator, you are asked to either vote Yes or No……passing on votes is not what Senators should do especially being over 100 votes that he voted “present” on. TAKE A STAND and tell us why you voted for whatever you voted for. That is what the american people demand of their president and that is what your contingency demand of senators.

Chris Matthews at it again; Fight Night in South Carolina

without comments

Chris Matthews of HardballListening to Hardball tonight on MSNBC which I do when i get the chance, I have come to find out again that Chris Matthews dstorted the way that the barbs went in last night’s debate talking up Hillary Clinton’s mention of Obama’s support of a slum lord which actually happened after Obama critized Clinton for being on the board of Walmart.  But it seemed that Matthews tried to start something with Hillary Clinton and I just don’t get it.  His major talking points against her always look mean spirited.  His large voice which doesn’t let anyone finish talking when he asks them a question gets old really quick and to hear him laugh is almost like waiting for the Joker to appear in a Batman movie.  I used to enjoy Chris taking on the Republicans and asking the hard questions but this fascination with sorta destroying her each time he comes on the TV tube is really annoying and I wish that I could confront him in his Hardball style and lay into him something fierce.  Chris Matthews needs to give Hillary Clinton the love that he gives the other candidates such as Obama and Rudy Giuliani who I think has the chance of a snowball in hell surviving as becoming the Republican nominee.

Ding, Ding....the Gloves are on!!!It’s not all complicated which people call “Fight Night In South Carolina”  Clinton and Obama came out to show differences in each other’s record and honestly it was good for the party even though people want to see it as a bad thing.  Both look like they can take care of themselves in a fight however Obama did look confused when former Senator John Edwards joined the fray.  Listen, a president is going to have to go through this if he/she expects the entire world to believe that they have the fortitude to withstand the major troubles of leading the world’s superpower.  Clinton is easily speaking to the nation while Obama is going to win the “black vote” in South Carolina.  The “slumlord inner-city” statement by Clinton really packed a huge punch while Obama jabbed with “on the board of Walmart” remark.  Both shots were cheap and both had good reasons for stating the obvious.  Both wanted to gain the upper hand and gain the center of gravity in the race for the nomination.  Both are looking for any brick in the street to hit each other with and the majority of the party hopefully won’t get hurt in the process.  I believe that it’s good for both to show that they are strong willed but hopefully they don’t destroy each other before they get to the delegation handout.

Obama Attacks Back by crying about Spousal Support

without comments

Barak starting to show heat with latest statementOh wow…..is this called “whining”. Would Barak be willing to ask his wife to back off from attacking Hillary? Bill is supporting his wife as “husband”, not former president. Spousal support is essential for this race and there is no way that Barak should be “calling off the dogs” just because he feels the heat. He will feel the presidential heat a lot worst if he won….will he ask others to stop attacking him too?

Where does it end?

A lot of you are younger students on there that support Obama but he made a bad move today. He has now taken the position that the Clintons are ganging up on him. Barak says that Clinton has distorted the truth. Well can he address what Clinton said was was wrong? Where is the speech that Obama had on his website that was up there 3 years ago but is now gone? Has he voted for funding for the war since he said he didn’t approve for it? Has he major accomplishments in the Senate – not just scaling back lobbyist buying lunches for Senators that “sit down”.

For you Obama supporters, you are in love with his youngness, his zeal, his potential but what you don’t know is that you are also hurting him due to the fact that he can’t stand the heat if he is squawking about a husband standing up for his wife.

This is troubling.

Struggling to South Carolina

with one comment

Hillary Listening to QuestionWell the democratic candidates have shifted to South Carolina and Florida. The public must have a terrific hate for Hillary Clinton but here’s a good smidgen of information for you…………..no matter how much hate they have for Hillary Clinton, they will never ever vote for a black man until he can deliver a crossover of whites, Hispanics and Asians and there is too much divide in America for that to ever happen. A white woman would be president (maybe not Hillary) before a black man. I know times have changed. We are not even remotely as bad as when Martin was marching, Malcolm was arguing and the nation’s leaders were getting assassinated on prime time TV. But we haven’t come that far and for me to say that, being a black man, that is like heresy. I would love for a black man to become president but I am not sure the time is now. Things are so divided and his entire platform would get criticized. Remember, they walk you up a ladder and lift you up so much until things go wrong and then they leave you.

I hope that whoever reads this doesn’t feel like I am hating on Barak…that is not my intention. I just want people to know that the time is right to provide another Clinton to clean up a Bush situation. Bill did it before and I am sure Hillary can do it this time. Whoever gets the nomination, you can best believe that the republicans are licking their chops. I know I wouldn’t want a old 72 man that does has some baby type tendencies in McCain, and Huckabee I think would be ok but he seems weak to me. Romney, I like the way he speaks but he is a republican and by birth I hate republicans.

Next US PresidentI have wondered what it would be like to have Obama as president and actually it wouldn’t be that bad. My only deal with the entire situation is that he is walking in the lion’s den with the troubles that the nation is having now…the roadmap for peace amongst Americans (democrat and republican) have deep divided lines and if he doesn’t come strong, I am sure that he won’t make it and it would be a very long time before they elected another black president. To me he doesn’t have the “experience”. With Bush I, he was the vice president and had worked in Nixon’s cabinet I think, as with Clinton 1, he was a governor of a state that he had to do a lot of “presidential” type things. Obama was a state Senator for 4 years and now has ascended to the top of the Democratic party as they tell us. We shall see. I like both but I am for HIllary because of her presence, her enduring attitude to keep it straight and to the point. John Edwards is looking to be “KING MAKER” and because of what Senator John Kerry did by siding with Barak, he could very much side with Clinton down the road but that remains to be seen also.

Well this is another day of coverage on my part. Wow, two straight days and I am still writing. Must be a good sign.

Democratic Nevada Caucuses

without comments

Actually I thought that somehow, someway that Senator Barak Obama would win NV but thing held to form and Clinton took it. Here is the deal people, Hillary is the clear cut choice RIGHT NOW for the Democratic nomination this year. I think that Obama could take the Vice President seat and then take over in 8 years but right now, I think that Clinton is more seasoned to change things in Washington.

The press continues to try to use the RACE word and they are doing it convincingly. Both camps (Clinton and Obama) tried to squash that tone but the press keeps it going. MSNBC Chris Matthews seems to have this disdain hate for Clinton even though he tries to say that he likes her. Why is is so much against a woman being president. Here is another thing that I have been thinking.

The top endorsements such as Senators Leahy and the one from Massachusetts (not Kennedy) hit me with a ton of bricks. Let me run this to you. Most of the Senators are in a lose/lose type of deal when endorsing Clinton or Obama. If everyone starts to endorse the “white” female, it will look like they didn’t want to endorse a black man to become president. That the establishment would rather vote a “white woman” as president rather than a black man. It’s easier to endorse Obama and it not affect Hillary as bad because she has Bill Clinton.

Democrats fall in love while Republicans fall in line is an old statement that I find that is so true. But maybe not this year. The Dems have a love affair with the Clintons and Barak, but can only choose one and it looks like Clinton leads with winning two states for right now (Also has Michigan but that hasn’t been declared yet).
