Former Military General endorses Democratic Nominee Barack Obama; Says Not Based on Race
To my dismay yesterday morning, former Secretary of State Colin Powell went against his party and chose to endorse Barack Obama for POTUS. This doesn’t make political sense to me but it does make ethnic sense. Once again, I am an African American so please do not get this wrong. I have never been behind Colin Powell (even when I was part of the Democratic Party). He went along with the program for sending us to war and was very involved with that decision (something that Barack Obama was against).
What I am still trying to work out in my small American mind is when a white general endorses a war hero like John McCain, it’s racism against the Black Americans. However when a Black General endorses the black candidate Barack Obama, a name with no previous qualifications and anti-troops/anti-American mentors included in his background..then it’s celebrated. Obama even told an 8 year old young girl that America is not as great was it once was (ref: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/tom-blumer/2008/08/09/mostly-mia-obamas-downer-america-delivered-7-year-old).
We seriously have an infrastructure problem in America…more important health program problems and it’s so crazy to see someone that was on the conservative side support someone that is untested, unproven with no record of weathering a crisis…..and to put him in charge of a country in dire need of “Strong” leadership…..all I can say is God help us all. With all the questionable associations that Obama has, one of them has him supporting Odinga in Kenya who is trying his best to bring Sharia Law and Radical Islam to Kenya (Barack’s home country), he still endorses that foreign national.
This attempt to save Obama’s election could backfire in a bad way. Anyone that doubted that this campaign is all about race just learned otherwise this morning. This could be a major eye opening.
